EPISODE #11
Generational Legacy of Faith and Family
SUMMARY OF TODAY’S PODCAST
God’s plan A has always been that genuine, world-changing faith be developed and passed down through the family. In this podcast I take a look at the foundational teaching of the scriptures, beginning in Genesis chapter 1 about how faith and the family have always been intended to work hand in hand. In fact, it’s always been God’s plan for the family to be the primary means by which genuine faith is passed down through generations. These are the truths at the heart of the Christian Home and Family mission.

LEAVE FEEDBACK AND A REVIEW ON I-TUNES

I had never thought about the family lines in Genesis quite like that – that’s intriguing. You also made a great point about how living out your faith in front of your children is a strong, but not coercive, influence.
@Loren Pinilis Once I noticed the familial emphasis in the Old Testament, the New Testament familial language made a lot more practical sense to me. We ARE a family, not just LIKE a family. And the home and family are at the core of how we extend faithful discipleship to others. In a sense, you could say our homes are our mission field!
Hi Carey, I finally had a chance to listen to this week’s podcast on faith and family. It was excellent! We’re studying Genesis this year in BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) and your message is right in line with what we’ve been talking about; primarily as a family goes, so goes the nation. Thanks for drawing our attention back to the basics especially in light of our recent election and all the challenges our nation faces. We can all make a difference where we’re planted and that begins in our families!
Thanks for the encouragement Helena… and thanks for entering into the conversation!
