SUMMARY OF TODAY’S PODCAST
The wife’s role in marriage – part 2
A user’s manual is an important document. It tells us how the product designer intended the product to be used, and how to do so effectively and safely. When we depart from its instructions, we do so at great risk to the product and ourselves. In spite of the cultural pressure to deconstruct and change what the Bible says, it still speaks with amazing clarity and authority. Marriages today are falling apart and we would do well to return to the description of marital roles that our Creator gave from the beginning. This episode of the podcast is meant to be a liberating breath of fresh air to those who have found our culture’s prescriptions for marriage wanting.

Thanks so much for this, Carey. I have today listened to your teaching on the role of a husband and the two parts of the role of a wife and found them uplifting, insightful and honouring of each person in the marriage relationship, and ultimately, Christ. I especially was struck by the thought that the husband NEEDS the respect to equip him to lead effectively and be confident as he guides the family in God’s paths. This has been helpful and I believe a timely word from God for a current family decision and so wanted to encourage you in this. Thank you! I was also very encouraged by the thought that each weakness or perceived weakness in either of us is complemented by the strength in the other. God bless you and your family, and the ministry of God’s truth.
I so appreciate the affirmation Mic. It’s powerful to have the truth of God’s word applied to our daily situations. Blessings to you and your family.
